We have been learning to build our vocabulary by thinking about an object in many different ways. Such as adjectives (describing words), verbs (actions related to the object), synonyms, feelings associated with the object even thinking about the kind of holiday, job or history of an object!
One word we are using a lot to describe our great words is the word 'sticky'.
Yes, STICKY!
Why?
Because some words just stick out. They are interesting and new. They have a great sound or help us to imagine something better.
Some students have written sensational short poems (like my sticky word there?) about random objects. The creativity has been flowing in Room 6. Enjoy the following photos. I hope to have some children reading their poems aloud soon.

Here we are building our word list. We used a thesaurus to help us learn new sticky words
Crystal publishing her poem and Sarn photo bombing
Ahi, Hunia and Sophya working on their draft poem
Sonny taking time to work on the presentation of his exceptional poem. He really put in top effort with his word choice.
