In Week 4 Year 1 - 6 students went on a trip to Mt Putahi and Lake Omapere.
We are investigating how changes from our past impact us today.
Here is a video that shows aspects of that day. In class we are currently doing further research and creating storyboards for an animation to share what we have learned about theses areas.
We are so thankful to the wonderful trustees of Lake Omapere Trust for taking time out to share what they know.

Who we are
One way we are getting to know one another better is by thinking about what makes us unique. We have all written BIO poems to share with others.

We quickly realised we needed to change some of the things we were doing in the playground. I hope you enjoy watching this and seeing that we are taking initiative with our resources.

First week, First Post
This short week has been all about learning the rules and routines of the classroom along with some of the digital skills we need to work together on our chromebooks. Next week our class will focus on getting to know each other more - what we like, what we dream of and what we fear. I feel so excited about teaching this amazing bunch!
Here are a few student reflections...
We all are learning how to touch type, make copies, put links to our work, share
our work, insert photos off webcam and to also navigate our learning class site.
Wet lunch routines are to sit down and eat for the first ten minute bell.
Then after that we can play games. In the mornings before bell we also
have to put chairs down, do some drawing or reading if we want to or play
some quiet games (if it is wet outside).

Some rules in the class are to do your best to excel in life for him, no running,

How I feel about being a learner in Room 6 this year. It feels awesome learning
new skill and have new teaching everyday. Also I love doing digital work so I think I fit
